do box turtles eat those rocks u put in fish tanks? or what would be good to put in the pool? do u have or know where to get like a feeding schedule for box turtles?

Turtles may accidently eat smaller rocks. Larger rocks are okay as long as they're not sharp. The rocks are for decoration and are not required. Most people don't have anything in shallow water/swimming bowls for box turtles aside from the bowl and water. The water needs to be changed often. I'm not sure what you mean about the feeding schedule. If the box turtles are kept warm and active, you can feed them every day. For my lizard and turtle, I alternate mornings of fruits and vegetables with mornings of animals (insects, worms, etc.). If you feed them both the same day, like many animals, they may not want to eat vegetables when all those yummy bugs are around.

Just to help....from experience, when I first put my turtles in a big tank (like 10gallons) I had small pebbles from the pet store at the bottom. After sometime it became too hard to keep clean, so I removed the rocks and just put the turtles back in the tank with water only. A couple of days later, I had a bunch of pebbles floating around at the bottom of the tank!! :) You can be creative with how they got there...but with my reasoning...the turtles must have been eating them!! haha...needless to say, we don't put rocks in the tank anymore! They are fine now! Good luck!

my daughter had a box turtle that chocked on some rock we had in a tank for it!! i dont reccomend it at all i never used it after that we use sand or something like thast

Someone who has been e-mailing me also said that his small turtles have pooped out gravel after he put it in the bottom. I don't use it because they'll eat some, and it's a mess to clean. I have taped black construction paper to the bottom of my turtle's soon-to-be new tank to give the semblance of a floor.
