Hello Robyn,
I was just looking at the updated pictures from your 40g goldfish tank. Your fish look as if they have doubled/tripled in size during a year (wish mine could do that) obviously a sign that they are very well looked after. I was wondering what foods you feed your fish, how often you feed them and how much you feed them. Also, how often/much water do you change per week.
Any information you give me will be greatly appreciated. I hope these questions dont take up to much of your time.
All the best
Taran
My three fantail boys have been through a lot this week. Last Sunday, I moved them to the new 65 gallon tank. Monday it cracked. Tuesday, I moved them back to the 40 gallon. I still don't have a decent 65 gallon. They have grown quite a bit. I feed them mostly three goldfish foods - Tetra goldfish crisps, Tetra goldfish flakes, and Hikari oranda gold. I think that's right but can't swear unless I went to look. I do weekly 50% water changes. You can see even newer photos of the fantails on my site. I have a ton of photos I've uploaded but not linked in yet. To say I'm swamped with web site work would be a massive understatement. I have two pages of typed up stuff (quick notes I use to work from, lists of photos, etc.) to add to my web sites just from this last week (that's tiny type too)! I have no time. I did measure the goldfish for the pages but haven't put that in yet. Aragorn is about 5 or 6 inches. Legolas is 4 inches and Frodo is like 3.5 inches. They were all about 1.5 to 3 inches when I put them in the 40 gallon on 1/22/06. So, they've almost doubled. That's not unusual for young goldfish.
