Title: Breeding Plecos

Just wanted to let you that I have successfully breed albino plecos, several times since getting them in oct of 06. I think that luck was on my side.
Christine :)

That must have been nice. You're lucky. I only have one female left but had two different pairs of albino bristlenose plecos and never had breeding. Did you do anything special or was it all them?

They did it all themselves, they were together in the tank for over 2 years before anything happened. We suddenly noticed that there were little things in the water and realized they were babies. I wish I knew the secret for what happened but I guess its a mystery.

That's cool. You must have been really lucky cause I have heard plecos are hard to breed. Is that right? Albino plecos are cool. I have a pleco myself but no idea what kind...

The common sorts of plecos are almost impossible to breed. The bristlenose plecos (to which Christine was referring) are relatively easy to breed.
