ok, im back on here with another question. i have an african sideneck turtle named kaiya. i have had her for about 1 1/2 years. i had just noticed today that she is not being herself. she is very mellow. she doesnt want to play with my husband like she always does, and is even very lax when she is picked up. shes never mean, but doesnt care to be handled. she doesnt seem to mind now. is she sick? i would really like some help soon, so if she is sick, i can take her to someone to get better. she doesnt look sick. no fungus or bacteria on her, her eyes look fine, her tank is clean and tempered correctly, i think. please help with anything you can. thank you so much.

You know your turtle better than I do. If she's not acting normal, and nothing has changed (especially temperature), then I suggest having a vet check her out. Is she eating well? If not, she may have eggs.
