Title: Two 500= One 1000?

Do you think that the electricity spent from two 500 gallon pumps is somewhat equal to a single 1000 gal ph?

My intuition says that the two 500 gph pumps would take more power than one 1000 gph pump. The box will tell you the energy requirements.

I agree with Robyn. Once you have the initial electric ‘surge’ flowing, it doesn’t take much more to take care of additional gallons. However, if you have two 500 gallons (two separate ponds), and therefore two separate pumps, I would think the two would be greater than one. ;)
