Quick question, hope someone can help me:
I have four pleco's 2 being somewhat large (about 6 inches give or take) the other 2 are between 2-4 inches. My dilemma is they are getting too big for the small tank that I have, and we can't afford to buy a bigger one ATM. Does anyone know of any places that might accept them? I do not want to just put them somewhere. I also have 3 eels (I have no idea what kind they are). These were all given to us by a friend of ours that had to leave the area and was just going to kill them.
I live in Honolulu, Hawaii, so if anyone has ANY ideas what-so-ever, as to what I can do, or where I can go, it would be a big help.
Common plecos grow large. Mine is 15" long. They are also pretty common so places like aquariums don't want them. Sometimes aquarium stores will buy them back from you so you can ask. Also, post to your local aquarium club forums or contact your local clubs. I'm sure somebody in the club can help you.
Here's a local club to you:
