I just purchased some "red neon corys" and have been trying to find information on them. I called the pet store to see if they had a scientific name but they didn't. However they did say they were sometimes called "laser orange corys". Not much luck with that one either. Unfortunatly they are still fairly young so I can't tell what they are going to look like mature yet. Right now they are sort of a pale yellow bronze with what looks like might become a horizontal stripe on their side when they are older (Its just a faint darker bronze area). Does anyone know anything about these fish or where I can find out more?
I've not heard of "red neon cories." I did a search. This site mentions that there are wild bronze cories with "red neon shoulder stripes" so I wonder if you might have those.
http://www.aquariumlife.net/profiles/south...cory/100130.aspI looked up "laser orange cory." They are a varient of the bronze cory, Corydoras aeneus. See this page as an example where they mention them as a variety of the bronze cory:

Neat! Thanks, you certainly turned up more than i did in my searches. It will be interesting to see how they look when they are mature!
