Hi folks, Had a small fry in a holding tank for a few weeks now, Even put a snail in for some company (seemed like a good idea) He has developed white spot, He's about a 1-2 inches long the fish that is not the snail  Is it worth treating him as we have become quite attached and didn't want to kill the little fella with antibiotics but if i don't the white spot will any ideas !!!!

White spot or ick is a parasite. If the little fish has ick, he/she needs parasitic medications and not antibiotics. The medication is usually copper sulfate. That is sometimes deadly to snails. You should treat the fish for ick. I suggest aquarium salt (a tablespoon per 3 gallons or so) and something like Aquari-sol. You should remove the snail and keep him away from fish for a few weeks at least. By then, he should not be contagious because ick uses fish but not snails as a host and would be gone by then.
