Hi,

My daughter has an aquarium with a toad she found in it. How often should we feed the toad? Does it eat daily?

Thanks.

Paul

It depends on how old and big the toad is. The younger ones eat more often and much smaller meals. The larger ones may only eat every few days. I would offer appropriately sized insects and worms daily. The toad will let you know by how interested he is as to whether or not he's had enough to eat. Foods to try include crickets, mealworms (many kinds, depends on the size of the toad), and earthworms. Baby toads need smaller live foods like pinhead crickets, wingless fruitflies, and maybe even blackworms (semi-aquatic but small).
