Title: What Type Of Reptile?

AnimalLove - October 2, 2007 09:35 PM (GMT)
I have a 10 gallon tank and I was wondering if they're was a type of reptile/amphibian I could keep in it throughout adulthood, ideally that I could hold. I am willing to feed it crickets/mealworms/vegatables, but not mice. Any suggestions?

A 10 gallon doesn't give you too many options. A green anole might be okay in there but you can't really hold them. I can barely catch my two when it comes time to clean their 20 gallon tank. A gecko might be easier to handle. As far as amphibians go, one of the smaller tree frogs might be ok in there although they'd really like some climbing room. They are not reptiles or amphibians but you might consider a hermit crab (crustacean) or tarantula (arachnid). I even have roaches (insects) in my 20 gallon tank. A Madagascar hissing cockroach makes a unique "pet."
