Title: From Pond To Aquarium
Description: moving a snail

Karen1961 - October 6, 2007 02:11 PM (GMT)
To help minimize some of the algae in my aquarium, I would like to move one of my trapdoor snails from the pond to the aquarium.
The salt percentage is the same, the temps are the same (currently.)
It is a 20 gallon tank with 30 gallon filter, a fake tree trunk and one silk plant. There is no gravel in the tank. There is one female black moor.
Is this a difficult task? Is there anything I need to know?
Thanks.
Karen

Pick up snail from pond. Put snail in aquarium. It sounds pretty simple. I don't foresee any problems except maybe the goldfish picking on the snail if he's bored.

I know it all sounded silly Robyn, but I wasn't sure if they needed special bags for water adjustment like fish do! LOL LOL

The water's basically the same since you use the same source water. Even when I buy trapdoor snails, I don't bother to acclimate them to my water although it's not a bad idea.
