Hi! I just inherited this fish from my Mom's tank. He is the weirdest thing. He came from Walmart last year and he cost $18.07, which I thought was stupid for a goldfish. Anyhow, his name is 18.07, LOL. He has the weirdest body shape and an odd mouth. I have never seen anything like it. He swims funny and spends half of his time upside down. He does summersaults all the time. My Mom asked me to send you his picture and see if you know anything about him. His mouth is like his cheeks are stuck together and it opens funny. This did not stop him from eating 12 of my baby goldfish however. His stomach/bum area is huge. His "poop" comes from an odd spot. I think he is retarded! Any ideas, lol??? I tried to get a better<center>

FINALLY!!! Sorry I took up so much space trying to post a link to the pictures :(

He looks like a calico Ryukin goldfish (or a mixed variety with some Ryukin). Fancy goldfish are nothing more than mutated goldfish. In the Ryukin, they have high, fat bodies kind of squished together with humps above and below. It makes it hard to swim so trouble swimming is common. Their swim bladders aren't in the correct place to swim easily. It looks like the goldfish might also have a deformity of the mouth. It's pretty common for fancy goldfish to have more deformities. As long as he can eat, he'll live with it.
