Well just posting that the tank levels have leveled out thank god the pleco that i fished out of the pond "big daddy" is doing real well to the point that everytime I walk by he comes out waiting to be dropped a treat. he is very active and always waiting for the lid to open and very social.

I brought butter butt the 5 in (minus fins) koi in from the pond and established her into the aquarium she is not real sure about it she look real healthy but doesnt know how to "work" the aquarium stays at the front glass trying to find a way out I think do you think she will calm down?.

The Gurami (sp) chases her but that fish did the same thing to big daddy when I brought him in a bit nippy then I guess it gets old and she moves on but poor butter butt all those fins and WHAMMO the gurami gets her.

well that is about it I guess.

Gouramis can be nippy. It's best not to keep them with fish with long fins like fancy goldfish and koi. If you can't keep them in separate tanks, you might try to put in a tank divider or at least a lot of places to hide. The koi is scared of the new tank which is normal. He/she should calm down after a while as long as the gourami isn't too aggressive.

Well Ihad to put the Koi back in the pond this morning she was not happy in the aquarium she was so stressed and the gourami wouldnt leave her alone. i found her this morning wedged in a tank decor very unnatural I reintroduced her to the pond and she is hanging out very content with her friends. I hope I didnt stress her to much but she looked miserable in the tank and the gourami just wouldnt leave her alone.

I am keeping an eye on her.

C2, Glad your tank is doing so well. Sounds like your koi got tired of being chased around. Now the koi can get some much needed rest. I hope she will be ok.

I am glad you put Butter Butt back out! She will be fine. Even after being in my tank for a couple of months now, my new Koi aren't really all that thrilled with the light being turned on and off and they don't care to be watched. My goldfish babies are craving the attention, funny how they are so different. The babies are all starting to change colours now and I have a really pretty white and orange one that looks pretty cool.
