Title: 1 Gal Tank

Raetak - November 29, 2007 08:55 PM (GMT)
Hello again y'all!

Well I brought a 1 gal tank for a school(I'm home schooled so I got it) and currenty a dragon fly larva lives in it and he is doind great! So good he ate the other larve but no big deal... :( <_< Any way, is there any tipe of fish that would like it as a home. I thought maybe one or to neon tetra wouldmaybe do ok.

I wouldn't put a neon tetra in it, they're schooling fish, so by itself it wouldn't be very happy. I can't really think of much that can fit in a 1 gallon besides more bugs.

A 1 gallon tank is really small. While you could technically keep a few small fish in there (say 2 neon tetras, 2 white clouds, etc. who all prefer larger schools), an African dwarf frog, or a fish like a paradise fish in there (bettas need heat but the larger paradise fish don't (but they do need more room than a 1 gallon)), they probably wouldn't be very happy. I suggest getting a larger tank and using the little one as a quarantine or sick tank.

They are gouramis also sometimes called paradise gouramis.
