Title: Dreaming About Fish

tlc - December 4, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
For the last two nights I have been dreaming about my fish. One dream I couldn't get Nugget netted b/c there were all these strange fish in the way. Last night there were ducks in the bottom of the pond eating the fish. I yanked them out by their necks one after another! Sick huh?
I hope tonight is better..

Robyn - December 4, 2007 08:57 PM (GMT)
True diving ducks aren't very common so that was a neat dream I think! Your other dream seems to indicate more fish are in your future!

I've had many dreams about the pond, almost always about it draining, all the fish dying from that or the heron, or other such problems. Sometimes I dream the pond is much larger than it is, in a scary way. I don't have many dreams about specific fish though.

KoiKrazy - December 5, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
I heard that you dream about what you most think about during the day!! OKAY, WELL THAT doesn't hold true to some of the doozies I have had over the years!! I have dreamt about the pond quite a few times but it is usually more like what Robyn said.

OMG I can not beleive you posted this 2 nights ago I was dreaming about the fish then it jumped to my aquarium fish that I had 3 tanks (which I dont) and the plecos could get out and crawl around the house because they can breath surface air. My gold fish lost all of meat/muscle and they were laying on the bottom of the tank in sections like the left side bottom tail face and was swimming around as just bones and this site told me that was normal and then the gold fish turned into a man with no legs with stem tadpole thing that was hanging off his back end and when I asked him, after I pulled him from the tank of course how do you breath he said from his but yes his but and he did OMG that dream has been in my mind for 2 days. I was so tierd when I woke up

Yeah I know I need help

I am being serious. I can not explain why it works but it does.
When your in bed and before you go to sleep repeat this over and over to yourself 15 to20 times. " I will not have any bad dreams, I will not have any bad dreams"

Believe me it works.
Hope I am not bing to forward.

WW [Waynes World :)], No you aren't being to forward! Thanks I will give that a try. Sometime the nightmares are pretty intense. Don't know if that is a hormone thing or what [I hope that wasn't too much information].
It's funny, when I was a kid I would watch those monster movies [Abbot and Costello w/the mummy] and before I would go to sleep I would think about the movie for a long time and would tell myself that I wouldn't dream about it. And I never did. I had forgotten all about that!

I'll let you know how it goes..

I understand one sided fun isn't fun; my apololgy. :)

Thank you that is actually really good advice. I used to be plagued by bad dreams as a child, but now mine are mostly wacky like some of the ones here.

Only fish dream I had was that I had a pond in my front yard (wishful thinking, I only have an aquarium) and that my pleco lived there and had grown to be about a foot long.

Actually. What I need to repeat 50 times before bed NOW is " I will not have nightmares about Jb in a bubble bath".
Just kidding :D

Sorry for the slow comeback. Must be getting slow in my old age.

KoiKrazy - December 29, 2007 11:22 PM (GMT)
Well, I WISH I was dreaming about something else, anything else! Last night I dreamt that it was Spring so I ran down to my clay pond to see if there were any survivors! Well all my fish lived and there were other cool fish in there and then I saw these two HUGE weird looking fish and they swam close into shore and turned into miniature horses??? All their ribs were sticking out like they were starving. It was so horrible......then......all these little kids, little Mexican kids actually, showed up and starting jumping in the pond and swimming around. Then I started freaking out about the fish getting jumped on and all the little kids got out of the pond and said sorry and I told them once there was more water in the pond that they could come back and swim! Am I a WEIRDO or what! WHO dreams stuff like that??

Robyn - December 30, 2007 03:04 AM (GMT)
I had a similar dream once. I don't remember much of the details but we had a party. There were a bunch of kids. They got into my pond. I freaked out because nobody but me is supposed to get in the pond. They were swimming around, stepping on things, squishing and hurting fish, peeing in the pond, knocking over plants, and giving me a heart attack while I screamed at them to get out (and they wouldn't)! We never really have parties here or many kids so it was a baseless nightmare.

tlc - December 31, 2007 07:39 AM (GMT)
KK we know you are weird. That's why you fit in here! :) I dream some pretty weird stuff sometimes too. I would dream that I forgot to feed the horses for weeks! No food or water! I have had this same dream since I was a little kid. Just remember what WW says: I will not have bad dreams! Repeat over and over! Working so far :) Now if it will work for me to get on that plane..

Robyn - December 31, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
I have dreams about not having fed animals all the time. I've had one dream a few times that I find my hamster cage stuck in the back of my office/play room, and there are still hamsters in there. Not only are there hamsters in there that I forgot about years ago but they're still alive and starving!

Karen1961 - January 1, 2008 11:46 AM (GMT)
I just had a horrible dream last night :o .
I dream that Ethel's fins fell off and that she was swimming without them.. I saw the 2 big fins on the bottom of the tank and then pieces of others...Also I dreamt that one of her fins was all white/clear.
As you may know I am treating her for fin rot and she is responding well. But it was a horrible dream.

Robyn - January 1, 2008 04:10 PM (GMT)
It's a good thing your dream wasn't real! After posting to this message yesterday, I had a pond nightmare last night too but I can't remember anything about it right now.

KoiKrazy - January 1, 2008 06:06 PM (GMT)
I always have dreams where I find animals in cages that I haven't seen in years, but for me it is usually birds! I hate those dreams, they are horrible. I don't understand why they are reacurring over the years. Everyone knows my animals are more important to me than anything. Oh guess what?????? There was this little buck I used to hand feed last winter and yesterday I was outside calling and feeding the does and along comes this 4 point buck and walks right up to me. I told him to hang on (they are used to me saying that) and I went and got him some apples and he came right up to my deck and waited and I fed him some apples. OMG it was so amazing because the bucks arent friendly like that once they are full grown. I will post a picture for you guys!

This is him eating his apple
