Title: Need Help W/a Uv Sterilizer

I have a Oase BioFilter 5.1. I want to get the Oase Aquamax 1600 pump. Also, the UV sterilizer I want to get is the Oase Bitron C UVC 18 watt. The reason I want to go w/this UV sterilizer is because it attaches right to the filter. The only problem I see is that w/this and alot of the other sterilizers is the the flow rate is low. This one the max flow rate is 600gph.

How would this work because I thought you need to cycle your pond at least once per hour. How do you you get a pump and a UV sterilizer to match up? This seems like a problem for alot of different brands.

Some help please!!!

I have a Pondmaster UV. When I need it, it'll be hooked to a seperate 350gph pump. My larger pump does the filter and waterfall.

I've never had a UV but it seems that most systems with UV's do it one of four ways.

1. Slow flow rate filter and UV which yields a yucky pond since it's not filtering enough.
2. Separate pump running the UV like SadieMay which allows for full filtration on your main system.
3. A huge UV that can take higher flow rates but often the time past the UV is too fast with those systems.
4. Larger systems often have T's in the system so the water is divided with some going one way and some going slower past the UV.
