Hiya, was wondering if you can help me, i have two snails in my fish tank, which look like the snails in the link below, who have laid a few egg slithers also as similar to the ones in the link below. They've vbeen laid out of the tank on the lid, but they look pretty dry and crusty, are they still o.k?
I didn't want to remove them untill i knew!

You have apple snails who lay eggs out of the water. One of your snails is female. If the other one is male, then the eggs are fertile. If it's female, the eggs aren't fertile. The eggs must be kept out of the water but moist. If they're dried up, they may have been infertile or no longer viable. The eggs can take up to a month to hatch when the babies will fall into the water. If the eggs have been there for more than a month, they most likely will not hatch so you can remove them.
