OK ,I am bored so I thought I would post another pic.
These are the kids swimming around the 500 lb rock just off the patio. They do that as long as I am standing there or until they get food.

That's a neat photo with all those orfes! Now, imagine you were the size to fit into that ship. I think you'd be a little frightened!

Wayne I was thinking about you and your pond today as I looked at my puddle of a pond. I am sure that at points you have had to go into the water with all those fishies how do they act when you are in there or have you never been in there?

It looks like those fish are circling around the shipwreck. :) WW you need one of those little submarines that I have had my eye on. That water is so clear that you could really have fun exploring the wreck. I think the sub would be to big to explore the inside though. :o You could use it to chase the fish a little too!!

In the summer I get in the water about ever 2 weeks to deadhead lilies and to fertilize the pots with the fertilizer sticks. Being in only part sun my pond temp. is usually about 75 degrees tops and that is still pretty cold to be walking around in.
Usually I wuss out and wear chest waders.
There seems to be a transformation in the fish behavior when your in the water with them. they seem to sense that you are out of your element ( can't move very fast) and are no threat to them. When I am in just shorts, it is common to feel them nibbling on my legs and arms as I work.

Don't waste your money on a sub tic like I did. It may not look like you have string algae, but believe me the subs prop will find it. :o :o DIVE DIVE DIVE

Hi KK. This pic was taken last spring just befor things turned green. A picture there today would look exatly the same except for two things.
1. It is dark in the encloser now with the heavy green tarp covering the pergola.
2. The Titanic is now missing one smoke stack since I steped on it last summer.
Any sign of your herd?

Wow! So you don't have ice on your pond?? Are you still using your "hot tub" heater to heat the water? If so, how is that working out for you? No, I still haven't seen hide nor hair of anyone. I was out there today and the hole actually stayed open last night so I didn't have to "chip and scoop". It's not my favourite feeling being out on the ice even though it is so thick. I am racking my brain on how I will do this differently next year.

I haven't needed to use the heater more than three days. It has been about plus 5 c the last couple of weeks.
I don't know what else you could do to make it easier to keep the hole open.
It aint easy fighting mother nature, but you are doing a good job staying ahead of her.

That's a great picture. The titanic is nice touch. Seems like every time you post a pond pic, there's another detail revealed.
Thanks for sharing that!
