What does everyone use to hold the vegetables at the bottom of the tank for your Pleco?

Years ago, they sold veggie weights. They don't sell them anymore. Basically, it's a clear thing that I filled with gravel to weigh it down. It has a pointy long thing on it that the cucumber goes on. Since you can't get those anymore, you have a few things you can try. They do sell veggie "clips" which are clips on suction cups. Be warned, the suction cups only last about two months before they continually fall off. You can then just bury them in the gravel or buy new ones. Larger plecos I think would just run off with the veggies, clip and all or rip it from the clips. You can also try using something to tie the veggies to something heavy (rock, driftwood, ornament, etc.). Of course, it has to be something the pleco won't eat (whole or by sucking) by accident so that rules out fishing wire, twisty ties, cable ties, and so on. Lead plant weights can work but larger plecos might accidently eat those or rip them off.

If nothing works, you can just let the vegetables float around the tank. The pleco will track them down and move them all over. It might be hard for him to get a grip on them though that way.

Thank you, you've been very helpful! :D
