Ok, Today i got a Red Lobster at Pet Land. His name is Claw and he lives alone in his 10 gal tank! So the thing I need to know is 1. What is the most healthy diet for my Lobster? 2. Is there any fish that can live with Claw?
I don't know that much about freshwater lobsters except they will eat small fish, shrimp, etc. A fish that's much larger than Claw might avoid being eaten outright but could still suffer from ripped fins. How big is Claw? You can try feeding him live or frozen fish and shrimp. Some lobsters will also eat regular old fish foods (whose main ingredients are fish after all). It depends on how big the lobster is, how big the food morsels are, and how easy they are to manipulate. I think Claw might eat the sinking shrimp pellets. You'd have to test various foods.
Well i tryed a wole ton of thing and he ate them all he ate all the thing you said he would but i haven't goten the live shimp yet but plan to.
P.s he is about 4 inchs and i gave him a dead fish and he ate it over night.
Don't overfeed him. He might die.
I heard lobsters love both live and frozen bloodworm, or why not give him some little pieces of meat as well. Ghost Shrimp are also popular prey, providing you lure them to the bottom with sinking pellets. You can also try the same with guppies. Lobsters are omnivores, so drop in a piece of boiled carrot and he is sure to enjoy it. Vegetables are good for a varied diet in lobsters. If you have any, pond snails are also lobster delicacies. Last of all, try algae pellets.
You can even keep a couple of live ghost shrimp as temporary tank-mates for the lobster before he eats them.
You know that sort of 'food gel' for fish made by Tetra? put some of it underwater and he's sure to eat it.
