I have four adult chicken and three chicks. Today I saw lice of two of them (looks like lice according to what i have read online). What torture it seems to treat them. I read on one website about treating lice with a soapy bath that you leave on their feathers. Anyone have thoughts/advice?
I've never seen lice on my birds or treated them for it. From what I've read, they usually use nasty pesticides on the birds such as Sevin. Be aware that pesticides may be more toxic for young chicks. Here's one of many web pages I found:
