[COLOR=orange]I have 3 goldfish in 30 gal aquarium. How do you keep the aquarium from turning yellow ? I do change the water in it once a week and scrub the yellow off the sides of the aquarium.

vic,
Welcome to the message board.

The walls of the aquarium turn yellow?
Normally when I clean the walls of my aquarium, the stuff is green.
Does the water look yellow also? (during water change-outs)

Got some more questions for you:

How long has the aquarium been up & running?
What sort of filtration do you have?
How big are the 3 goldfish?
What else is in there with the goldfish?
How much water do you change out weekly? (10%, 20%, 50%, 100%)
Do you test the water?

The more information you give, the better! :)

I assume you mean the yellow on the glass? It's probably brown algae which are diatoms. I usually just use an algae scrubber to remvoe it by hand each week. Some algae eaters may eat it but I don't recommend keeping other fish with goldfish normally.

I suggest weekly 50% water changes for your tank.
