Good going Megan! You got some pics uploaded :) Not sure why they take 10 minutes to upload. That has me puzzled. Do you have High Speed Internet? Something is really bogging down your computer. I would check for Spyware/Adware.

I can't believe the size of your project. I can't remember now who is the master planner? Was this pond planned and designed by you and the DH or did you hire that too. :)

When is the expected completion date or it that weather dependent too? ;)

I would have never thought it possible to work on a project this size in your weather conditions. The pic of the Trackhoe with the man standing in front of the bucket, in the trench, really tells the size of this undertaking. :o
It's pretty massive isn't it?

The raccoon is a nice touch ;)
Way cool! B)

Hi Guys
I finally got the pics on, my husband was helping me too and he was having problems, with the pasteing. Sometimes it worked and sometimes not. I was very disappointed in the size of pics. My computer was new in January, and it is high speed satelite, and I do have a good spyware/adware. It is pretty fast. So yah I don't understand why it takes so long to upload. The pic of the bulldozer was there when I previewed the pics and then disappeared when I posted it.
We kinda designed the pond as we were cutting trees. The contractor suggested we start with a small 40 x 40 pond, but I wanted it to be bigger. If you have to have the machines come in your driveway and drive across your front lawn (which I still have to fix, what a mess, I'm trying not to look at it) then you don't want them back to make the pond bigger later. So we were going to make it like a figure 8 with 8 feet at the one end and 4 feet at the other end. Then in Janurary we had a snow melt and the pond filled and with the elevation the banks on the first pond seemed to be to steep, so we changed it to 2 separate ponds, with an overflow between. Now there is a drop of about 2 feet between the two ponds. I don't know if I'm totally happy with this desision because it is not what we planned, but it is what it is now.
This is definately going to take a long time. I went out yesterday and put an overflow on the second pond, because it was over flowing on the end. It was hard to do because there is still 2 feet of snow on the bank.

Wow, Your pond build makes mine look like I'm building a sand box. Although I could swear by body feels like that excavator ran over me. Thank God it's going to rain for 3 days so I can recover.  Your going to have one allsome pond when done.

The only thing small about your pond is the size of the pics. :D When you two finish no one will ever believe it's 'man-made'. wow...that's big. Maybe I should add 600 gal. puddle to my signature. :o ;)
