I know those long cold hard winters.I live 2 hours north of Toronto Ontario Canada. This has been the longest and the most snow for a lot of years. We still have lots of snow and ice but I"m sure it will be gone this weekend. The temperatures are going up.Like you we can play with our ponds for late may to late oct.Not nearly enough time.I have noticed that the geese and ducks and blue huron are all back.

Hi Swampy! Missed you on here the last while! I worked on my dam today and I put out the mallard decoys, I should be getting the ducks coming in soon. We get Bufflehead ducks that have their babies in the pond every year. I love to see the babies, but Buffleheads are the worst Mother's ever! Every year she abondons her babies and the out come is never good :(
