Both frogs overwintered and have been sunning themself all day today...it is 75 degrees here in Bethesda.
About 2 months ago on a relatively warm day, we used the sump pump to try to clean out the gunk out of the under-pond 3 inch pipe...ended up getting a frog stuck to the pump, so I guess he was what was backing things up. Anyway, he was alive, but we feared for him, so I'm glad to see he made it!
That's Great MaryAnn all mine made it too. They hid pretty good when I used the pondovac 3 on the pond last week. Earily next week I will be opening there new home which will be about 10 times as big as my current one. That's of course if they can afford the rent! ;)
I'm glad your frogs are out! I've lost a lot this winter (found dead on the bottom of my big pond) but was glad today to see half a dozen small frogs out.
