My 5 in shar which is a cat tore his top fin. his top fin is like a sale has the solid bone that is straight and then the soft faned fin that follows back to his body kinda like a pleco. It was not like that last night at 11 pm and this morning I noticed it there i a lttle blood by the tear and it has pulled it away from the straight part. Should I be concerned It looks like it hurt he is acting semi normal ie eating but not comming down the whole tank which if he was spooked I ont see him venturinf to far but he is swimming around the one end like normal.

Should I do anything? 150 gal tank should I pull him out I dont want to stress him anymore. I dont think anything wentafter him they are flighty by nature and though Ihave never seen him act real flighty like I have read but he is skidish I am sure he hooked himself on something.

He probably got his fin stuck on something long enough to tear it. Minor injuries should heal themselves. I wouldn't worry too much. Removing him would stress him a lot. If the tear is bad or starts to get infected, you might increase the salt some and/or put in some MelaFix to aid healing.
