Title: Progression Of My Lily

timmyng - April 17, 2008 05:31 AM (GMT)
so, i have this lily that was overcrowded in a small pot. my turtle just nibbled on the leaves and it started to die. so i just moved it out of the turtle-tub-pond.

with just an inch of water, residing in the rim of the pot.
the lily pads shrunk to 1-2 inches diameter and i decided it was time to save the plant..i bought a big tub to put it in.

and now....a few months later...a beautiful flower!

tho the leaves are still only like 3-4 inches diameter[and there is another lily tuber in there].. should i empty the pot and just leave one plant?

Wait for any repotting when the flowering is over. Like any plant, it's best to do things to it's roots when it's dormant or at least in it's green/growing stage...but only if you have to.

I think I would wait as well.
Nice looking flower though! You must be doing something right!! I am anxious to see what (if anything) mine produce this year! :P

That's a nice lily. Where do you live? I've only got one lily leaf that's hit the surface out of four five gallon pots.

It's up to you if you want to repot it now or not. It looks like it's doing good so I would just leave it for now.
