Title: Fish Medication Question

Sorry but this will be a long one so you better grab a cup of coffee. :)
I am currently using Pimafix and Melafix to treat the remaining fish in my pond. I did end up loosing one fish (I waited to long to treat him) after a couple of days of treatment. I decided to continue the medication for the remaining recommended days.
I am treating the two remaining goldfish.
I am treating them in the pond.
I am using Pimafix (Contains: Pimenta Racemosa 1.0%) and Melafix (Contains:Melaleuca 1.0%) for aquariums as that was all I could get at my small local pet store.
The dosage I am using is 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water for each of the above medications for 7 days.
I decided to treat the whole pond simply because I had a very ill fish and didn't have access to an aquarium. Probably not the best idea but that is what I had to do.
My question (finally) is: at the end of treatment (7 days) the manufacturer suggest to do a 25% water change, does that sound right or should I change some out sooner?
After the 7 days should I change out more that 25% of the water?

For those of you that are new, here is a link to the original thread on the condition of the fish that I lost: http://z2.invisionfree.com/Fishpondinfo/in...?showtopic=3942

A teaspoon per 10 gallons seems like a lot. Is that what the directions say?
Did you get a lot of foaming?
Changing 25% after treatment sounds about right. It's usually pretty safe to do 50% water changes at most if needed and only more in emergencies (like poisonings).

I hope the medications help!
