Title: Most Made Thru There First Winter
BillBrooks - April 19, 2008 08:24 PM (GMT)
I know I lost one Koi and one goldfish as I removed there dead bodies. I still need to count the rest and compare against there pics from when I released them, but I think most if not all except the two made it. The water is still very cold 36 f, but the ice is almost all gone and I took this pic of them.

Soryy to hear about the 2 that didn't make it Bill. From what I have read on other forums it seems like it was a hard winter on fish everywhere for some reason. On the bright side the majority seemed to come through fine!

I was bummed about the lose of the large Koi it was a gold metalic kind also one of my favorite colors on them, I do have another just like him only smaller.
I was very happy to see that most did make it threw the winter.
I have to get the bio filter running soon now as the pond turned pea soup green already and the water temp is only 39. There is a chance of more snow on Friday April 25 winter just doesn't want to leave seems like.
