OK, I have read this on several sites, but it still doesn't sound right to me.
Can you actually go to the grocery store and buy watercrest, throw it in your pond, and have it grow?

well yes, but it likes moving water so most stick it in the rocks in their streams. The fish will eat it if you throw it in your pond.

I've put watercress in my pond from the grocery store many times. It will grow better if there are roots still attached but even without, it will sometimes take. It needs to be stuck in shallow moving water, anchored behind a rock to do really well.

Went to 2 different grocery stores last night and neither had watercress. Guess the experiment will have to wait! :huh:
