Title: Anyone Quarantine Pond Plants?

My new pond plants will be arriving any day now. I wonder if anyone quarantines their new plants before adding them to their pond?
If you do quarantine can you tell me what you do?

When I first started my pond, I dipped new plants in potassium permanganate solution. It was so much work, turned everything purple, and pond snails ended up in the pond anyway. It's just too much work so I don't bother anymore. I just rinse the plants off well and examine them to be sure everything looks okay. If you want to quarantine the plants, you could set them up in say a kiddie pool for a few weeks. You'd have to add Bt to keep out the mosquitoes. In the end, you probably wouldn't see the things you may not want to add to the pond anyway (snail eggs, some insects, plant pests, and so on). A lot are just too small.
