Well I'm beat! I DRAINED out the ENTIRE pond+waterfall (Had the fish in buckets+Submerged plants too!) ...and Re-Did everything...I am beat! The water was SO green but that wasnt what bothered my...I guess something went out of wack because my fish kept gasping on top and the thought kept bothering me...But anyways I have it done and it looks great. I think I started at 2pm and ended at 3?PM......The fish are happy and so am I. I think one of my poor goldies isnt feeling so hot as I can reach in, pick her up and her not bother trying to fight. She's doing better though...maybe!.....If you would have seen me though you would have laughed your butt off off...because I was chasing down (Running after) an escapee (One who didnt like the bucket I guess....well anyways. I have made plans for this pond.....after the goldies (And Sauron, My koi) move out, I am going to fill this up with soil and pea gravel, put a lotus in, add hornwort,etc...and get rosey red minnows....it should be pretty!.....Well I had to tell someone about my acomplishments...so thanks for listening!

Good job Bud!

I think only other pond people ever realise how much physical labor is involved in keeping a pond, but when you get done it is always worth the work! :D

Good Job Kenny! Reading your post reminded me that I have to clean the filters in the aquariums today :( I hate that job, I usually end up making a mess of the floors, LOL. Are your fish doing better today after the cleaning?

The fish ARE doing better.....I hated cleaning my filters too....but I fixed that! I put them in buckets, take them outside and sray them off with the high pressure nozzle thingy. Im kinda waiting for the algea to come back...I miss it...I just dont want my fish dead though.

It sounds like you did a lot of work! It only took one hour? It takes about 8 hours to clean out my 153 gallon pond each spring but that's not as exhausting as some of the other stuff I've done.

I hope your pond does well now after the cleaning!
