Ive been pondering an idea that my mom gave me.....I'm thinking about moving my frog into my empty 5G hex (That's supposed to be for SW...per my plans!) and makeing my 10G #1 a reef...here what Im going to do:
10G #2----Empty 5G Hex...He's a male African Clawed Frog
10G #1----10G #2
10G #1----Emptying and cleaning...making into the reef
What do you think
Pros:
----Frog will have more safty from jumping out and being eaten by my cat who stays out at night(My other cats get put into the laundry room)
---This tank will seem less empty w\ a mini community into it
---He will be payed more attention too
---The reef will have more room
Cons:
---Frog will have less room (He's the only non-fish...thing so I think he'd be fine)
---I have to by a new background as well as other supplies(Gravel, new bulb, etc.)
Just let me know what you opinion is. Thank you!
I moved him into the 10G #1 after moving the fish to his tank and am going to set him up the 5G tommorrow after I get done with school and the other aquariums. ~2PM probebly
I'm confused by the musical aquariums! A single African dwarf frog should be okay in the 5 gallon tank although more room is always better. As for the reef tank, it will do much better in 10 gallons than 5. My tank is supposed to be 12 but really only holds 8 gallons. Now that I've researched what I want to put in there, I will have to be very frugal so as not to overpopulate it. A 5 gallon reef tank really can't have any fish because it's not stable enough. It could have some corals, snails, etc. though.
