Hi Froggy! I guess you are back?? How was the wedding? How did your pond do while you were away?
I posted this general question in this "ponds" section as I always forget to check the general questions and comments section. Robyn, do you think it would be okay if we put the odd one of these kinds of posts in this "general ponds" section?

I never really understood why they have the forum set up so that you can post in a category instead of just its subcategories. This part of the forum then is mostly filled with posts that people didn't realize they put in the wrong place. I don't mind when people post here though. As the moderator, I'll let you, KK, decide what you want to post around the pond section.

Oh Okay, I never understood it either, LOL When I first joined the forum I couldn't figure out how to even post in here, LOL. I always just thought it was a place to post things if you didn't think it really fit a sub catagory! I think it is a good place to put maybe questions to other forum members about ponds etc. or to follow up with them, kinda of like the question I asked Froggy. Whatever people think, it doesn't matter to me, it was just kind of an idea. I think things run good the way they are

Hi KK returned home today just before dusk from Virginia Beach and of course almost ran to the pond to check it out. At first glance noticed most of my lilies have leaves to the surface. I was looking closely at the water to see if there were any mosquito larvae present since I never introduced any dunks or fish. So what do I find swimming in the pond! Baby fishes about 1/4" long. So much for the plan of having no fish in this pond. They must have come from moving the lily plants with eggs attached about three weeks ago. Offspring of the male that I lost the day after they spawned.
The wedding was great. I have never seen so much booze, beer and food consumed in a weeks time. I abstained of course. lol Lots of pic to post later. Must catch up on all that has transpired the last two days on here since I only checked the forum every few days.

Hi Froggy, glad you had a good time and the wedding was great ;-) I bet you have a lot of ponding catching up to do. I am going away for the night and will be back in the late morning, but I am still worried about the ponds, LOL. Can't stand leaving the fish, but my Mom is here to watch them.
Hey.....no worries about the baby fish, I am packaging up my Kingfisher as we speak and sending him to YOU ;-)

Congrats on your grandfish! Hey, they're better than mosquitoes!
