Well, I left the tacky pond uncovered last night, and this afternoon while I was putting on the new net I discovered that Herb Shubunkin took a suicide dive out of the pond. I was very sad. I made my Mom do the recovery and the identification, LOL, I was just too freaked out. Poor little guy. For someone who has never lost a fish, I seem to be getting good at it the last couple of days! When I was transporting the 3 "indoor" koi out to the pond today, Helmet took a flying leap out of the bucket and thrashed around on the floor for a few seconds before I could scoop him up. All this fish stuff is really stressing me out!
Sorry KK. :( It's harder to lose a named one then an unnamed one...it's like you don't know it yet. I lost 3 unnamed ones this past winter, all small babies. Better put a heavy net over that thing before you lose somebody else.
Yuppers! Got the net on and am keeping all those wild guys contained good! I guess they are not used to living in such a small area. I am sure enjoying watching them though.
I'm sorry about your shubunkin.
sorry to hear that KK. Poor Herb and poor you.
