Title: Glowlight Tetras
Description: constant bullying

Laura - May 17, 2008 03:02 PM (GMT)
I have 6 glowlight tetras, 3 males and 3 females. The males are always bullying the females (chasing and nipping at them). Is this what they do when they mate or are they just bullies?! The females seem really annoyed by it. Should I seperate the females into a differnt aquarium?

Thanks, Laura

It's been a long time since I've had glowlight tetras so I honestly can't remember too much about them. I don't remember mine bothering each other but I only had a few. It could be mating behavior. Unless they're tearing each others fins or really harming each other, you don't need to separate them. Adding more places to hide among real or fake plants, tank ornaments, etc. will help the fish get away from pestering. Enjoy the fish!
