I have been watching the fish out in the clay pond alot in the last few days. (kingfisher patrol, don't worry I won't kill him even though I want too :-) he's just too pretty and Robyn is right, its how they survive. I did read they need 90 fish a day to feed their young though, if he gets that busy he is going to go ;) Anyways, I have been noticing the fish do some cool things. They swim in a pod of 5, the three big koi and the two big goldfish. Well sometimes a fish breaks off and goes on his own. Naval keeps the pod going, and Zephyr breaks off and goes and gets the other fish and brings him back. I mean they go a huge distance to do this. Also, Naval takes all the fish and hides them in the shallows and he goes out to check things out. He will do some large circles and after awhile, he goes back and gets everyone and off they go in the pod again. It is really neat to watch. The water is so clear and their colours are so outstanding. Now I worry about the eagles and hawks  :( I am seeing tons of the babies and the other guys I put out there too. I will get some pictures to post soon!

That's interesting how they have their little pod. It must be nice to watch them seem so happy.

Yes, it is most enjoyable to watch them back in the big pond. They seem so happy in there. Tonight while I was watching them, I also saw a pod of about 20 babies...they must be some of the survivors from last year. My Mom also said she saw my only Sarassa that I couldn't get out last winter, so I was pretty happy to hear that. I haven't seem him yet though.
