Hi everyone..My name is Holly and I found my cat smacking a box turtle this morning in my front yard. It is like 40F here and i wasnt sure if it is to cold to let him go and if so what do I do with him.

It's surprising he'd still be active. He should be hibernating. Release him in a safe spot near where you found him, under a few leaves, preferably in a forested area. Hopefully, he can settle back in for hibernation. Maybe a predator moved him.

Yea I took him to a wooded area by my house and he seemed more then happy to be free again.Thanks for the help
