Title: Hi Everyone

JarrodRossi - July 30, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
I've been a member of these forums for about 3 years now, and I have just realized I havent stopped by since last December, I hadnt realized it had been that long.

I work full time and go to school full time, and I am a moderator of another (unrelated to animals) forum.

I decided it was time to stop by and visit the forums more often and reintroduce myself.

My name is Jarrod, I live in Texas. I work full-time at a major chain pet store, and I am a full-time graduate student, working on my Master's Degree in Psychology.

Welcome back Jarrod! I wondered where you got too!

You are one busy guy! Are you the turtle guy or was that some else?

Welcome! :)

After you graduate you could be employed full time right here working with us crazies. We need serious help and the least of our problems is our pond addiction. :(

LOL, you got that right Froggy! Maybe that's why Jarrod came back.....he is secretly using us as a "project" or thesis or whatever it's called!

I dont know if I am the turtle guy you are talking about, but I do have turtles, back then I had 3... but I have acquired another from a neighbor... I have had to refuse many, people seem to think I am a turtle refuge center.

Welcome back!

I need to stop coming and going so often. After my last absence from these forums, I came back and intended to stop by more often, but we had more hurricanes and school got crazy. Also, my mom has been fighting cancer all last year, and recently lost the battle and passed away on Dec. 23rd... so last year has been crazy to say the least.

Hello Jarrod, my sympathy on the loss of your mother. I lost mine at the end of September.

KoiKrazy - January 12, 2009 04:48 PM (GMT)
Sorry to hear about your Mom. I lost my Mother In Law to cancer and I know what a horrible and hard experience it is to go through. I really hope 2009 brings some good things your way. You are always more than welcome here..........so pop by when you can. Take Care, Elaine

JarrodRossi, sorry about your Mom and a terrible time of year to lose her too :( That's a hard one :(

Hope you can get on the forum more often. I did look at your website. Looks great! Will you be adding more pictures?
Check back in and give us your ponding updates as it's been a while :) and hang in there :)

Tia

Hi JarrodRossi
You have our Deepest Sympathy on the loss of your Mum to cancer.
My Mum though still with us has been through it twice now and at the moment has the all clear but she is getting along in years nowadays and we are hoping that because her immune system is compromised that she dosen't catch anything nasty that she cannot fight or have a relapes.
I don't know what I would do without Mum to be honest !!!.....

I would like to add more pictures, but right now... my ponds are kinda in a state of disaster. The turtles are living in my bedroom. Hurricane Ike wasnt too kind on our backyard. So once this spring rolls around, hopefuly I can get the ponds back to working and looking nice again.

My sympathies too, Jarrod. My mom too died at Xmas. Shopping is still hard for me ( after 15 or so years ) but Xmas day and loading up the tree is a different story. I have a bad longterm memory but those days..vivid/funny memories of mom pop up and I will smile or crack up laughing. Before dad died 3 days before my birthday he told my sister to keep an eye on me. I'm married and 50 years old and she still does it. <_<
