:) ok i am really kinda proud of this discovery because its so convenient for me....
instead of buying certain plants that are specifically for aquariums, i accidentally discovered my birds{cockatiels} food the seeds in it will greown and makes lush greenery for my aquariums, now i dont house fish i have frogs and toads. so i put them 1/4 inch into the siol cover them up and water them and in about 5 days you should have about 4 or 5 inch tall grass growing in your aquarium, its also been my experience so far they dont require much sunlight so they are easy to place anywhere in the aquarium with just a uvb/uva bulb which i alreasdy use for my critters, they dont harm my ctitters and they like to hide in it and sometimes my treefrogs will sleep on a leaf of it. plus they should grow to produce more seeds of that kind so there i have aquariums plants, and free birdseed :D so nwo that i have told you all maybe it will come in handy for you :)
Great tip...My experience with birdseed (accidently stored in my linen closet!) drew mice....yours is much better! :D
lol we have had a mouse squished under our couch once really nasty  and in our banana tree plant pot we had little mouse tunnels, and i ad a mouse fall out of a birdhouse onto my lap and it decided to hide under my pretzel postitioined legs.......i froze and then screamed. lol, also i use water crest in my bullfrog and grey treefrog aquariums they l8ike it realluy well too.
I screamed when I pulled a pillow out of my closet and mice ran everywhere....I couldn't imagine one falling on me. My outdoor problem is gophers....little darlings digging holes and pushing up piles of dirt....we have a banana tree too, aren't they the coolest? I don't have a frog now, my goldfish starved him (I felt bad) I have 2 fantail goldfish (20 gallon tank) and a dozen tetras and t-bones (5 gal. tank) that my husband gave me for Valentines Day! :)
