Title: Damaged Swim Bladder

While transferring one of my bettas back into his tank after cleaning it, Miles (the betta) jumped back out of the tank onto the table. I was worried about picking him up with the net so I scooped him back in by hand. However... I noticed that now he is unable to swim upright and kind of spirals around in the tank. When he isn't doing that, he is just hanging at the top looking almost dead.

I think that I may have accidently injured his swim bladder causing the swimming problem.

Is there any cure for his problem or should I put him to sleep in the freezer (supposedly the most humane way)? I have not seen him eat since this happened three days ago and I don't want him to starve to death :(

I don't know all that much about the anatomy of fish. It's possible the swim bladder was injured but more likely that there are just various internal injuries, perhaps including the swim bladder. He may be able to recover or maybe not. There's no real way to know. With that sort of injury, there's nothing you can really do. I'm sorry he was hurt.
