What kind of setup do you have him in? What are you feeding him? What is the temperature? What kind of lighting do you have?

I have him in a 5 gallon plastic tub, similar to the one on the website. He's in an area where he can receive sun at times of the day and I have him under a incandescent light which I know is not the best but up until now has suited him fine.
He has a Smallworld filter and a heater in the water as well, especially made for 2 to 5 gallon tanks. He has a plant and a rock (not heated) in the tank as well. Usually he stays under water most of the day. For the past 5 days he's been on the rock with his head out of the water and is not that responsive.

The storage tub on my site holds 20 gallons if it were filled with water so your 5 gallon container is probably too small for him. Also, if he only gets a little bit of sunlight, I suggest buying a full spectrum fluorscent light for him. The incandescent light provides some heat as does the heater. How warm in the water? How deep is the water? What are you feeding?

The water is about 72 degrees and is about 2 1/2 to 3 in. deep. I may be mistaken about the 5 gallon, it could be more. I am going to get a 10 gallon definitely. I tried to feed him an earthworm last night, but nothing. Also I've tryed pellets and meat. Still nothing. And he is still acting aggressive.

It should be warm enough. Aggressive normally goes hand in hand with wanting to eat prey with snappers so it's strange that he won't eat. Was the earthworm an appropriate size so that if he'd wanted to eat it, he could? Maybe something else is going on with him. As I said (in e-mails), he can go a while without eating so I hope he starts up again in short order.

The earthworm wasn't vey big and he showed no interest in it. He is still on the rock with his head out of the water almost all day long. He has been hiding in his plant a little also. I'm going to keep trying. Thanks
