hi my name is Leonor and i am very worried about my baby turtle Jing(my turtle's name)is a slider red ear turtle, i have had it for over 2 months, i am not really sure how old Jing is but is quite small ( about one and a half to two inches long) for almost 6 weeks Jing was eating very well. The person who sold it to me gave some turlte food little balls and she told i was supose to give Jing 2 little balls of food daily, when it started growing i started giving my turtle three little balls of food, until then it was eating well, Jing didn't want to eat the food and surprisingly my turtle was eating it's own (i do not know how else to say it "sorry for the word") shit and it has been aproximately 5 days that has not eaten anything, i don't see it sad or unenergetic is always moving around when Jing is awake , the only difference is that now Jing has been sleeping more than ever.

i woukd like to know if any of you can give any
kind of advice i am desperate and i already lost two turtles i don not want to lose this one

Read my hatchling page for proper care at http://www.fishpondinfo.com/hatchling.htm
It should answer most of your questions.

Pellets are not good to entice baby turtles to eat. Live foods are the way to get them to eat. I suspect that you were given some sort of cheaply made turtle pellet ball stuff that's really not very nutritious at all. Since the person who sold the turtle to you did so illegally, that's not surprising.

Turtles can go days without eating when that age but after a week, I would worry. It's not uncommon for most animals at some time to eat their own feces. In some cases, they are just starving or trying to get more nutrition out of them. In other cases, it's more a matter of them just trying them out.

I hope that Jing starts eating. If you can get live blackworms at an aquarium store, those are the favorite of baby turtles. If Jing won't eat those, he/she is probably very sick and needs to see a vet.

Good luck!
