Further to this, Pipkin is recovering- and growing! Soon we'll be thinking of introducing him to our other rabbits. I don't think the two bucks will be a problem; I'm very7, very worried about introducing Pipkin to Fudge, my doe. They're always trying to attack each other through the wire of Pipkin's run, and I've finally moved Fudge to another room to give Pipkin a break. I'm fairly sure I know the problem; they're too similar. They're dominant, stubborn, attention seekers, outgoing, etc etc. I'm wondering if you have any advice on helping them get on, as I really don't want to have to keep them seperated for ever.

I'm glad Pipkin is better. Who attacks through the wire, Pipkin and Fudge or your other buns? Your doe is intact, right? She's a dominant doe who wants to be in charge. Does she go after the other two bucks? If I recall, they're neutered? Spaying may subdue Fudge some but since she's already mature, it probably won't stop the behavior. If you want to try to get Pipkin and Fudge to like each other, start with neutral territory which neither of them thinks is their own. Put them down there with something to eat that they both love (and plenty of it). Be ready to separate them and see what happens. A dominant doe may never accept a buck on what she thinks is her turf but may be okay with playing in neutral territory. Other than that, see if rabbit.org has some tips.

A doe will never talerate a buck in "HER" hutch even for breeding. She has to be put into his hutch for breeding. I made that mistake once and she nearly ripped him to bits. I quickly seperated them and put them both in his hutch and wam bam thank you mam the deed was done. :D Go figure.
