IS THERE SOMETING I CAN PUT INTO A STAGNANT POND TO KILL MOSQUITOS WITH OUT DRAINING THE POND?

How big is it? is it your pond? any fish in it?

hI THANKS FOR RESPONDING. YES IT IS MY POND WE JUST BOUGHT A HOUSE WITH POND. IT IS ABOUT A 20 GALLON POND. NO FISH.

do you really want to keep it then?i dont even know if they make filters for ponds that small. Any way when you have a misquito problem, you have to get something to keep the water moving. a fountain and pump should do it.

You can add mosquito dunks, bits, or Bt liquid. I have many tub ponds at 20 gallons or less, and that's what I use.

Robyn can she use a pump and a fountain> that would look nice.

if you have a pump, it wouldnt take no time to pump it out, since its only 20 gallons, but you could use the stuff robyn said to get rid of them.

i'd probably want to start fresh, no telling what kinds of bacteria are in there if its that stagnant, maybe other things besides mosquitos

i would dump the water also.

Lisa said she didn't want to drain the pond but I agree, if it stinks, it should be changed out. Adding a fountain will deter mosquitoes, certainly. The problems I've found with this in 20 gallon tub ponds include the fountain squirting water out of the pond (maybe not initially but certainly once the raccoon stops by), electrical access, and the fact that I want frogs to breed in my tub ponds, and they prefer still water.

she should have something to keep the water moving so she doesnt have the same problems.
