he has an excellent point man, it would be 100x more appealing if you just took the 200 off of the first shoot they did instead of getting it upfront.

I also signed up and got some offers quickly, the registration thing where you have to pay sort of caught me off guard, I can't seem to find any references for this company either. If the rep could post an independent reviewer or something from the Better Business Bureau or even something from some sort of agency registration for Ontario. Anything would be much appreciated. Anyways I'm still interested.

Hi Andrew

We are looking for serious people if you donít believe your car cannot make you $195 then you shouldn't even bother, we do offer free evaluation of your vehicle which gets evaluated by booking agents and gets basic renting rate.

You seem to have totally circumvented my question. Also it doesn't seem as though you have read what I said as I had clearly stated that I have already signed up and received a free quote. My issue is that I would like some independent documentation of experiences with your company. Just doing my homework before I make the investment that you want me to make! I also agree that it would be much more tempting if you took the $190 off the first paycheque. By the way, the double negative you used is hard to understand. Thanks.

You want credentials, well I provided you with those, any individual feedback will come from people we done bookings for and if they choose to post about it they can feel free to do, otherwise it is userís choice.

Thanks

Talking from experience, I have had 2 vehicles used in film
('67 Mustang & '66 Impala) and have been paid up front $800 per day no registration fees etc...If you are fully legit that's great but you have some real competition.

underpressure - March 14, 2006 02:56 PM (GMT)
$200 up front for registration seems pretty steep... I'll wait until I hear of people other than mods/admins actually making that $200 back within a reasonable time, and some money for them too.

like i sad in above post, if you do not believe your car can make you 195 a day then you shouldn't even bother

Herpee - March 14, 2006 07:18 PM (GMT)
Just curious. What is the registration for? To make sure that you are like commited?

kula55 - March 14, 2006 07:59 PM (GMT)
Yea I'm sorry I fail to see why it couldn't be taken off the first paycheque. If you want to PM to talk to me that's fine too. Your whole "like i sad in above post, if you do not believe your car can make you 195 a day then you shouldn't even bother" is sort of getting old, there's no new information being provided. You don't seem that persuasive in trying to attain new members if the previous quotation does in fact represent your attitude. You have done nothing but throw it at anyone and everyone who asks for a reference. Sort of counter-intuitive to the purpose of this thread isn't it? Anyways just some food for thought.

STORMPULSE - March 14, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
so...plain and simple why cant you just take it form the first shoot?

i would even still be interested if you took 25% or something (judging by the rate u gave me)

Out of curiousity is there any sort of arrangement if you don't get any calls for your car that the initial fee is refunded or something like that? Just kinda curious as my friend is thinking about signing his Ferrari yellow Stang up for this and I thought I could get him some more info. Thanks for any help.

no..there is no refund..tell him that if he is not confident enough that his car is wort it then he should not do it. Any business that make's money will require some investment.

Okay, so here is my 2 cents...

1) I can understand why you guys are all so skeptical of this. It does almost sound a little fishy but I assure you that it is not. Ian got an offer on his car already but his car wasn't ready to go so he had to turn it down. I understand that some of the questions that you guys are asking, are not being answered directly... And I understand why you guys are feeling the way that you are about this whole thing.

2)I have talked to him over MSN and he says that any car has the chance of being chosen just because companies go through them and the companies could be looking for any type of car. So whether it is a civic, mustang or any other car, it has the chance to be picked. Also the daily pay out, if your car gets chosen, can be in the hundreds so you would be making your money back quickly.

3) Like Will said, would it make it easier if you actually saw results from this, would you be more willing to sign up and pay the money if you saw actual proof that someone actually made a profit off this company and what they do? I think would be an amazing opportunity for some people, but I understand where the fear comes in. $200 is a lot of money right from the beginning when you don't even know if your car is going to be picked... I think if anyone signs up on this site and actually makes money off of it, they should post up on here that they did make profit and if they feel comfortable sharing the amount that they made and that then it will make this whole thing a little easier for everyone to believe.

That is just my opinion though...

I have a proposition for you, becuase I've seen these sort of *scams* before (not saying this is a scam).

This is my car ( http://www.vitalmotion.net/members.php?mod...ls&driver=vwguy )

Those pics and mod list is at the end of 2005 and it now has quite a bit more done to it.

I'll give u the keys for a week so u can take it anywhere and make as much money as you want it with it, if u make anything over $100, ( i want to acctually see proof that the car went for a shoot and made money), I will sign up on the spot. If not you pay me $100/day for the days you had my car.

I basically want to see how confident in your own bussiness and that you are not out just to take the $200 from everyone.

Offcouse if you do any damage to the car and do not return it exactlly as i gave it to you, you will pay to fix it.

Herpee - March 15, 2006 03:57 AM (GMT)
Couldn't he just make his own shoots? and are you willing to do that what if (not saying it would happen) this guy disapears as with ur car chop shop

vwguy - March 15, 2006 04:15 AM (GMT)
Obviously all this will be in a contract, so he can't dissapear.

and i doubt he will be making his own movies now.

First of all i dont have to prove nothing to anyone
paying 80bucks to put a car in autotrader dosnt mean your car will sell or better yet spending 300 on leasebusters dosnt mean your lease will be taken over
It is a service and services do cost money.

Gojo - March 15, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
listen guys, you all know my car. it was rated at 750 per day from cars for films. ive already gotten offers to rent it but had to turn it down because its not ready yet.

so right there is a mojor profit. what else do i have to say?

its worth the sign up fee to be front line with todays film makers and promoters. because we all know that there are thousands of people with modded cars out there just itching to get their car famous.

and more questions please use the PM feature.
