Title: Zen Css - Prepare To Be Stunned
Description: Standards Based Web Design

This is one of the best sites I've seen for demonstrating the sheer power of separating content from presentation. The owner has designed a contest of sorts. Each designer is required to work with an identically formatted XHTML page of content and to manipulate it and format it exclusively with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

You see here the content without any styling. (XHTML only, no CSS) http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=none&page=0

Then you scroll down and click on a design. My favorites are:
Bonsai Sky by Mike Davidson
Bonsai Sky by Mike Davidson
Gemination by Egor Kloos
HoriZental by Clément ‘fastclemmy’ Hardouin
Creepy Crawly by Luke Redpath
zengrounds by Andrea Piernock
Hedges by Kev Mears
Entomology by Jon Hicks
The Garden Beneath by Minz Meyer
Live the Adventure! by Ben Scofield
Luna XP by Lim Chee Aun
the long road by Jason Estes
trémière by Nicolas Prade
Whispering by Dave Catterick
Nature by Gizmo

OK, I spent way too much time on this site, but it was amazing.

This is exactly why I'm trying to break away from html. Looks better and when you want to change the colors, you only have to change a *few* codes.

The Zen//CSS site is a jewel :)

*small sigh* if only I was that proficient at css ... but having a table-less website is fun enough ;)

I don't think my current pages are going to be converted any time soon from tables, but we'll see. I do like the idea and going forward I want to try this.

I just discovered z-index. I think my head is going to explode.
