Has anyone had a young child that has had to have a tooth pulled? Brett cracked his tooth and the dentist is saying it can't be repaired and need to be pulled so they are refering him to a specialist cos of his age. What i want to know is will the dentist knock him out to get the tooth out?

they did with my dads girlfriends shes 6

jamie lewis and jade all had to have there back teeth out when they were 4 or 5 and yes they put them to sleep

no not yet jade and jamie have lost 2 teeth each and they fell out with a little help from me lol

I'm dreading it cos when they knocked Shauny out when he bust his leg, they put a mask over his face and he put up a right struggle

Well he went to see this other dentist today and the abscess is still there so she has given him antibiotics for it. She says cos he is not getting any pain from the tooth we can leave it and watch it or we can take him to hospital where they will put him to sleep and pull it out. He should not lose that tooth really till he is 10 they said but if we leave it it will most probably just keep getting an abscess there. He has to go back next week so she can see if the abscess has gone and give her our decission on what we want them to do.
