Was you at the birth of any of your grandchildren?
First one I was in the room and helped deliver her. It was a C-Section.
Second. I was at the business end of things and there are just some things a MIL should never have the 'pleasure' of viewing of a new DIL.
Third...All geared up and ready to go. Sudden emergency. C-Section was ordered so I missed out. But was holding him with 8 minutes of birth.
The next one is a medical nightmare and Mum will be completed sedated under a general, so no-one will be in there. But will get to greet her within minutes of birth.
The other one due this year......Praying I actually do get to see this baby as there is no contact between this DIL and any of us..
