Title: Question about scheduling

I was just curious, why a different anime each week and not a few a semester?

Hmmm....good question. These are the reasons that I was able to come up with as to why we do it this way. Like the way it is now, it may bring more attendence since if people miss one week, they didn't miss a major development in the story line or anything. The current method also allows for different genres to be shown every week or so that way it is a great mixture for attendence. Also, the current way of doing things allows for great relationships with the anime companies and such. If we were to show whole series, people would be less likely to buy the whole series than if we just showed the first 2 DVDs or so. I think those are the reasons, but I could be wrong. B) I have also wondered about this in the past. Oh well, see what others think.

Actually, pretty much everything you said was dead on.

I actually like the idea of showing a little at a time. I like the idea of exposing fans to all different types of anime (save hentai) and broadening horizons and all that.

yeah, and it's a great way to see all the new good series out there! and some of the classics, too... it's perfect for me since i have no motivation anymore to keep up with anime on my own. too bad i always miss the anime at the meetings, though. also helps people decide what they really wanna spend their time/money on when they get to see a few eps of each series.

it allows for everyone to have a chance to view something they like and a chance to expose each person to new things.. it'd be horrid to be stuck with one entire anime you despise.. ^^ I enjoy having the variety.. plus.. it helps me decide what manga series to get into next ^^
